MAPLEX MDCC

MATERIAL DESCRIPTION

Maplex MDCC (medium density cotton calendered) is a medium-density flexible yet strong 100% biobased pressboard which is produced with unbleached softwood cellulose and cotton fibers. Calendering process, when applied, densifies the sheet and slightly smoothes its surface. Calendering is performed in parallel to the sheet’s machine direction. Proprietary fiber blend, board machine settings and controlled hot press drying allows monitoring fiber alignment during sheet formation process and results in strong yet flexible and formable material.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Durable, smooth and dimensionally stable pressboard

  • Minimal risk of breaking, wrinkling, creping or fiber separation

  • Biodegradable and recyclable
